ConCor 50' grain-door boxcars.
I could find no information regarding a real Conrail prototype for
these cars, but they make good stand-ins ("foobies"). On the
left is an unmodified car with Rapido couplers. On the right
one is weathered with acylic washes, Microscale ACI label,
MicroTrains trucks and couplers, and low-profile wheelsets. |

Weathered Atlas Conrail PS2 covered
hopper. I picked this up as-is at House of Trains in Omaha, NE
for $5! Usually I don't buy equipment other people have
weathered, but this one was done very well and also had MicroTrains
couplers. For $5 I figured it was worth it, and it was. |
